Zuni Mountain Trails
The trail system consists of 186 miles of non-motorized trails, 28 miles of connector trails, and six new trailheads that are managed for pack and saddle, biking, and hiker/pedestrian. Ultimately, the entire Zuni Mountain Trail System would interconnect and be accessible to non-motorized users from various communities surrounding the Zuni Mountains.
The CTA will provide volunteers on a volunteer basis to help on the implementation of projects with the ZMTP such as the Quartz Hill 30 mi new trail, Ojo Redondo 40 mi. of new trail, Bluewater 45.6 mi of trail, Twin Springs 43 miles and Limekiln trails 19.5 mi. of new trail. That is 178 mi of new trial for residents of Cibola County.
